WORKPLACE INTEGRATION ADVISOR

We are looking for an analytical, self-started team member to become our Workplace Integration Advisor who aims to strengthen the ability of Central Alberta employers attracting, recruiting, integrating and retaining newcomer workers through practical, employer-focused support. The position is on a 2-year contract on a full-time basis (35 hrs./week).

A little about what you’ll do:

1) Conduct employer outreach and strategically engage with business associations, regional economic development initiatives and relevant employment service providers, in the pursuit of employer enrollment in the program and overall newcomer employment opportunities. Maintain strong relationships with partners at all levels to support the effective delivery and success of the program.
2) Provide one-on-one tailored workplace assessment, advising and action planning support to employers to improve recruitment, onboarding, communication, and retention practices.
3) Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, business-to-business (B2B) peer learning activities,
communities of practice and events.
4) Provide leadership to the Project Support Specialist and other employment program related staff.
5) Ensure accurate administration and effective reports and proposals which adhere to the requirements of
the funding agreements.
6) Identify needs and opportunities for program continuation and development.
